You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright, or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material, or you provide complete citation for the orignal source. Spam, flooding, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.
Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of every single post. The owner of this site is not responsible for the content contained within indiviual posts. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content within posts and/or member profiles within a reasonable time frame if they determine that editing is necessary. You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account to prevent account theft.
After you register and login to this forum, you will be prompted to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.
Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.
II. Troll Policy:
Creating and posting under usernames for the purpose of attacking and/or harassing community members is expressly prohibited. If it is discovered that a community member posts under an alter-identity for such purposes their regular username may be revealed to the community and they will be subject to restriction, suspension or banning at the administrator's discretion.
Members outed as trolls or new members posting solely as trolls may be restricted to posting within the forum known as the Troll Hole for a period of time to be determined by the Administrator. The Administrator reserves the right to poll the community at large as to their preferences for appropriate consequences for trolling behavior, and reserves the right to make final decisions on consequences after such a poll.
III. Cafe La Leche(CLL) Disciplinary Code:
Violation of the rules as set forth in the TOS contract will be handled on a case by case basis through a series of graduated disciplinary actions. The Administrator and Moderators will use their best discretion in interpreting and applying the disciplinary code.
1st Violation = Warning: Member will be publically warned that he or she has violated a community rule.
2nd Violation = Restriction: Member will be warned of the violation and his/her posting rights will be temporarily restricted to posting in the "Troll Hole" for a period of time to be determined by the Moderator Group. Restriction will typically involve posting rightsin the Troll Hole only, but the member will still be able to access and read the other boards.
3rd Violation = Suspension: Member will be temporarily suspended from all participation including reading and writing at "CLL" for a period of time to be determined by the Moderator Group.
Subsequent violations of the TOS are subject to Immediate and Permanent Banning.
IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT BANNING:
The following actions will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of all posting and reading rights at Cafe La Leche. This option will be applied judiciously to only the most extreme cases that involve multiple violations of the TOS / Community Rules or meet any of the following qualifying criteria for immediate banning. Such actions will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of all posting and reading rights at Cafe La Leche.
1. Threating members, moderators or administrators or their families, including physical threats, threats to electronic equipment (i.e. hacking, spamming or otherwise attacking a computer system), and threats made via pm or CLL related email.
2.Misuse of other members' personal or identifying information, including but not limited to posting such information on the board or using it to impersonate another member.
